30 Dinners in 20 Minutes

Weeknight dinner shouldn't eat the whole evening. This book collects thirty suppers that go from cold pan to plate in twenty minutes or less, made with ordinary grocery-store ingredients and the pans already in your cupboard.

And when you'd rather not decide at all, four ready-made Monday-to-Friday plans come with one shopping list each, sorted by aisle, so a single trip covers the week.

  • ✓ Every recipe 20 minutes or less
  • ✓ 4 weekly meal plans
  • ✓ 4 aisle-sorted shopping lists

Who it's for

It was written for the person standing in front of the fridge at six o'clock with nothing planned. If any of these sound familiar, you'll get plenty of use out of it:

  • You work late, or have kids to feed, and want something real on the table without a long evening at the stove.
  • You're tired of rotating the same three meals and want variety: Thai basil chicken one night, Mediterranean cod the next, a smoky black bean soup on Friday.
  • You buy herbs and vegetables with good intentions and throw half of them away.
  • You're a confident beginner. The steps are short and numbered, and each recipe flags the one thing most likely to go wrong.

It's probably not for you if you enjoy slow weekend projects or are looking for baking and desserts. This is strictly fast, savory, weeknight food.

The practical extras

  • "Making Twenty Minutes Work": habits that keep the timing honest

  • Four shopping lists by store section, with checkboxes and a pantry check
  • An index by recipe name and by main ingredient, plus everything ready in 15 minutes or less

Why it saves more than twenty minutes

The decision is already made. The hardest part of a weeknight dinner is often choosing it. Open the week's plan and that's done.

One shop, not four. Each plan's list is consolidated and sorted by aisle, so you move through the store once instead of doubling back for the forgotten lime.

The speed is built in, not faked. The recipes rely on ingredients that are quick by nature, like thin cutlets, shrimp, ground meat, canned beans and leftover rice, and on cooking in an order that keeps the stove busy: the sauce starts while the water heats, the slaw softens while the fish sears.

Minimal gear. A skillet, a pot, a knife and a board. No air fryer, pressure cooker or stand mixer required.

Lemon Chicken Skillet

Thin chicken cutlets in a bright lemon-garlic pan sauce.

Prep 5 min · Cook 12 min · Total 17 min · Serves 2 · ~360 calories

Ingredients

  • 2 thin chicken breast cutlets (about 12 oz total)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • ⅓ cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • Salt, pepper, and parsley

Method

  1. Season thin chicken cutlets with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken 4–5 minutes per side until 165°F (74°C), then move to a plate.
  3. Reduce heat; add butter and garlic for 30 seconds. Pour in broth, lemon juice, and zest. Simmer 1–2 minutes.
  4. Return chicken briefly to coat with sauce. Sprinkle with parsley.

Tip: Pound cutlets to an even thickness before cooking.

Questions

What format is the cookbook?

It is a single 53-page PDF. It opens on phones, tablets and computers, and the pages are laid out to print cleanly at home if you prefer paper in the kitchen.

How do I get it after paying?

Checkout runs through Gumroad. As soon as payment goes through you get a download link on screen and by email, so you can start cooking tonight.

Why does it say $7+?

Seven dollars is the minimum. Gumroad lets you pay more if you want to support the site, but the book is exactly the same at any price.

Are these recipes also on the website?

They come from the Quick Supper Ideas collection, so several are online too. The book gathers all thirty in one ad-free, printable place and adds what the site does not have: four weekly meal plans, matching aisle-sorted shopping lists, a pantry guide and an index by main ingredient.

Do I need special equipment?

No. A good skillet, a pot for boiling water, a sharp knife and a cutting board will get you through every recipe.

How realistic is the 20-minute promise?

Times start once ingredients are on the counter, and every recipe totals 20 minutes or less. They do assume you keep moving, so the book opens with a short section of habits that make the timing work, like starting the water first.

Is there anything for vegetarians?

Yes, there is a full Vegetarian chapter with six recipes, plus meatless options among the soups, salads and pastas.

What if I have a problem with my download?

Use the contact page and we'll sort it out.
